Been in front of a monitor for about four hours straight at this stage, but sure I’ll survive. Currently browsing the net just came across a big music (.ram) file site; it had a load of Burl Ives songs that my dad used to play for me as a kid, such a nostalgia fest. Sites pretty decent for other stuff too Terrific Music. Today is the same as any other down here in the IT I suppose, although its a pretty dragged out day considering I have one class at 9 and then no classes till 3.
Dying of a cough (probably the cold mixed with my ever present nicotene addiciton
) Went to bed last night but couldn’t sleep; ended up writing some new material. Not quite sure how its going to shape up but hopefully I’ll be able to make something out of it. I’ve a couple of tests coming up next week and I have to throw a powerpoint slideshow together for a presentation I’m giving so the next few days are going to be hectic. Typical waster me I’ve decided to take tonight off to finish cleaning my room so I can settle backĀ into the rest of the term and to take an early night for a bit of light reading / song composition but mostly just to help me get rid of my current cough / cold; its the last thing I need at the moment.
Busily researching joining the Gardai at the moment (A little known fact to the majority of people that know me) as that is my current aim. Once I recieve my ordinary degree in Computer Systems Management I’m out of here. Don’t get me wrong Carlow has been good to me and I’ve had good times here, but I just wan’t to get out and experience life for a while; I’ve been in the educational system for the past 17 years and its time for a change!

Well thats the hope anyway; It was one of the first options I was considering when I finished 6th year; but I wanted to experience college and get some sort of qualification. I love computers; always have, always will. But at this stage I need to do something else. I can’t picture myself doing any of the jobs I’m currently being trained for. Always was more of a people person; couldn’t stick spending my life behind a monitor.

That’s why I’m putting myself into music

Always a good idea
; I love music; I love writing and playing music for people! but I was just worried that someday there’d be too much pressure behind it and that’d make it a chore. It’d just ruin it for me.
